Memorabilia from the greatest international tournament in history is offered, made all the more desirable by its impeccable provenance, with each piece originating from the personal collection of Summit Series legend Paul Henderson. Included, we have original artwork of Paul being towed by Russian players (11” x 18”, framed to 16 ½” x 22 ½”), a Henderson 1972 Team Canada replica jersey signed by six including Henderson, Tretiak, Cournoyer, Ellis, Savard and Frank Mahovlich, a Russian CCCP jersey signed by Tretiak, vintage colour Team Canada artwork on leather (12” x 21”), a plaque with famous goal scoring image (10” x 15”) a trio of framed proclamations/certificates (ranging from 9 ½” x 12” to 10 ¼” x 15 ¼”), a framed display with Summit Series hockey cards (7 ¼” x 11 ¼”, with one card signed), a pair of Classic Showdown posters signed by Henderson and Tretiak (9” x 12 ½”) and more! A signed LOA from Paul Henderson will accompany.
Also included, there is a mesh CCCP jersey (appears to be 1980s), a small Canada vs USSR cloth banner (11” x 15” with fold lines), four different Team Canada t-shirts including one signed by Henderson, two vintage Toronto Sun 1972 newspaper winning goal posters (light to moderate wear) and more. The majority of the signatures in the collection display well with no issues, with moderate wear to the frames, jerseys and posters.
