This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club’s comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
Celebrating their 18th season of play in the NHL, and a faithful reproduction of the original that once proudly hung in the Canadiens' dressing room at the hallowed Montreal Forum, we have a wooden plaque commemorating the the 1926-27 Montreal Canadiens, with this specimen likely displayed at the Bell Centre. At approx 13” x 15” and featuring beveled edges with a full colour Habs logo along the top and “1926” and “1927”, the players and management are listed in two rows of thick white paint beneath including HOF legends Howie Morenz, Aurel Joliat, George Hainsworth and others. Exhibiting just very light wear surface wear with holes over the reverse to facilitate hanging, the plaque is ready for display in your hockey shrine. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
