Possessing an especially strong physical game as the NHL’s record holder for most hits in a season, Matt Martin climbed through the ranks with the OHL’s Sarnia Sting before spending parts of seven seasons on Long Island. Acquired directly from the Toronto Maple Leafs, we have a photo-matched jersey worn by the Windsor native in 2016-17, his first of two seasons in Ontario. A label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring a vintage style Leafs team crest with embroidered detailing, “15” appears over the sleeves and verso in single navy twill, with “Martin” across the sewn nameplate in matching material. The fight strap also sports a handwritten “1” to denote a “Set 1” garment. Exhibiting a few dark marks over the front and sleeves, Getty Image #628982238 (Dec 10, 2016 vs Boston) has been matched to the two dark marks visible on the lower left sleeve, specifically to their size, shape and placement. The team patch numbered “G-0005” is affixed just above the inside hem, with a matching LOA to accompany from the Leafs.
