Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

Owning the Art Ross Trophy throughout the 1990s, winning the prestigious award four times during the decade, Mario Lemieux also appeared in five All-Star Games during the era, which included First All-Star Team selection in 1993, 1996 and 1997. There is no mistaking the original owner of this impressive pair of CCM Tacks skates. With "66 Lemieux" written in black marker on the bottom of the undersole of each boot, it is clear they were laced up by the one and only Mario Lemieux. Dating from the mid-1990s, the CCM VT 652 models with Super Steel ICM blade holders sport intact lacing, with light to moderate game-use exhibited. Dark marks are visible over the white components, with cuts and grooves to both the blade holders and toes sections. Lemieux would register almost 500 points in four seasons from 1992-93 to 1996-97 (Mario did not play in the lock-out season of 1994-95).
