Setting the record for goals scored by a left winger at the conclusion of his HOF career, Luc Robitaille first represented his country as a Junior in 1986, with later appearances at the 1991 Canada Cup and 1994 World Championships; where he helped Team Canada win gold after a 33-year drought. This photo-matched Team Canada captain’s jersey was worn by Robitaille at the 1994 IIHF World Championships where he served as tournament hero, scoring the winning goal during a shoot-out in the gold medal game vs Finland. A Tackla model with “XXL” sizing along the collar, the jersey measures-out to roughly a size 58. Featuring a rubberized style team crest and numbers, sponsorship patches appear over each upper sleeve, with “Robitaille” sublimated across the affixed nameplate. A signed LOA from Luc Robitaille will accompany.
Exhibiting nice game-use, there are marks over the front, with a few additional marks over the lower reverse. The jersey has been matched to the black marks showing on the lower front hem to the image of Robitaille’s 1994 Semic hockey card #249.
A portion of the sales from the Luc Robitaille personal collection will benefit the Echoes of Hope Foundation. Founded in 2007 by Stacia and Luc Robitaille, Echoes of Hope strives to awaken the spirit of hope in the lives of children, youth, and young adults in need by alleviating barriers and helping them reach their full potential.
