The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
A 3-time 50-goal scorer with the Maple Leafs at the height of his career, right winger Rick Vaive closed out his NHL playing days with the Sabres, appearing in 20 games for Buffalo during the ‘91-92 season. Vaive tallied his last goal, #441 of an impressive career, against Vancouver, the team he broke into the NHL with. This blue knit Sabres road jersey has a Maska Ultrafil tag in the neck beside a size 54 fly tag, while CCM and NHL logos are embroidered into the rear hem. Everything is sewn on including the NHL's 75th anniversary patch. Game wear here includes 10 slash marks on the front (2 in the Sabres crest), a light burn and small hole at the left elbow and a black hack in one of the "2"s on the right sleeve. From Rick Vaive's personal collection, this terrific Sabres shirt will be accompanied by his signed LOA.
