The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Here they are, the men who started the NHL's greatest dynasty and who recorded the Canadiens first-ever 100-point season. Led by Jean Beliveau who won the Art Ross and Hart trophies and who scored in each of the 7-game finals against Detroit, the Habs got back at the Wings after having lost to Detroit in the previous two showdowns for hockey's top prize. The second row of this scarce photo by Roger St-Jean only includes Hall-of-Famers, 7 in all! Matte-finish photo itself measures 13 1/2" x 10 1/2" and has been applied to a cream-colored backing. Team captain Butch Bouchard, who retired after the season, is cradling the bowl of Lord Stanley's precious trophy while Forum seats can be seen at the top. Tantalizing photo is terrific near mint condition and will be accompanied by a LOA signed by a major architect of Montreal's 5-Cup run, Jean Beliveau.
