Billy Smith made his NHL debut with the Los Angeles Kings in 1971 before joining the New York
Islanders, where he would become one of the most dominant goaltenders of his era. Smith’s
aggressive style and clutch performances helped lead the Islanders to four consecutive Stanley
Cup championships from 1980 to 1983. Over his illustrious career, Smith amassed 305 wins
and was the first goaltender in NHL history to be credited with scoring a goal.
This 1973-74 O-Pee-Chee Billy Smith rookie card (#142) has been graded by CSG NM/MINT+ 8.5 and is housed in an almost flawless holder — a true standout piece.
A prime addition to any serious hockey card collection, this Billy Smith rookie card is a
tribute to one of the NHL’s most iconic goaltenders.
