Building an impressive hockey resume that includes placing fourth all-time for assists behind only Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Bobby Orr, Peter Forsberg claimed a pair of Stanley Cup championships during his NHL tenure, along with both the Hart Memorial and Art Ross trophies in 2003. A veteran of 708 games in the National Hockey League with the likes of Quebec, Colorado, Philadelphia and Nashville and inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012, Forsberg would also help his native Sweden win gold medals at both the Olympic Games (1994 and 2006) and IIHF World Championships (1992 and 1998). Offered here, we present this rookie-era stick used by Forsberg during his first couple seasons in the NHL with either the Quebec Nordiques or Colorado Avalanche. A Titan ASD 2500 model stick with "Forsberg" factory graphics appearing over the shaft, the stick retains its original white tape job around the shaved down handle/knob (which has had "21" penned to it in now faded black marker ink) while the blade tape that was once found around the blade has been removed to facilitate Forsberg's flowing black marker ink signature on the forehand side which displays without issue. Also sporting a largely intact foil accent sticker around the bottom of the shaft, the stick shows game-use via numerous dark marks, red post paint transfer spots and other abrasions throughout the length of the shaft as well as over the lower shaft, heel and blade. Of note, a small crack/missing section of wood is present in the fiberglass on the forehand side of the blade near the heel.
