A veteran of 1756 National Hockey League contests over the course of a career that spanned a total of twenty-five (25) seasons, Mark Messier would win a total of six (6) Stanley Cup's and be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2007. The last active player to have played in the rival league of the World Hockey Association and also the last active player to have suited up during the 1970s, Messier would play in a total of sixteen (16) NHL All-Star Games during his time spent in the league. Offered here, and hailing from his time in the bright lights of Manhattan as a member of the New York Rangers, is this stick used by Messier during the period of the mid-1990s. A Louisville TPS made offering that sports a graphite shaft and inserted wooden Louisville blade, "Messier" is stamped over the blade stem while most of the graphics seen over the entirety of the shaft have been worn off by use and time. Retaining Messier's original black tape job around the handle/knob and blade, the longtime Rangers leader has signed over the heel area on the forehand side with a bold black marker ink signature that displays without issue despite light fading, adding an inscription reading "94 Cup" in matching ink. underneath. Remaining in good condition, the stick shows light use via some marks/abrasions throughout the shaft and marks over both sides of the blade tape.
