Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/29/2025
The first (1st) overall pick of the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft, John Tavares would spend the first nine (9) years of his NHL career with the New York Islanders on Long Island before coming home north of the border to join his hometown team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, for the 2018-19 season of play. Having worn the distinguished captain's "C" for Toronto from 2019 to 2024, serving as the 25th captain in franchise history, Tavares reached the 1000 point plateau for his career on December 11th, 2023 against his old team, the Islanders, becoming only the 98th player in NHL history to reach the mark. Offered here, we present this copy of Tavares' 2014-15 Upper Deck The Cup "Limited Logos" autograph patch card. Sporting gold accents and an image of Tavares in his white New York uniform over the front of the card, a large three (3) colour patch swatch cut from an Islanders jersey worn by JT has been embedded into the front. Serial numbered "24/25" near the bottom edge, Tavares has signed just above the number designation with a blue marker ink signature that displays without issue. Still in its original raw ungraded form, the card is in overall excellent condition for its effort, showing just some light corner and edge wear that is worth noting for accuracy.
