Regarded by many to this day as the greatest hockey player to ever lace up a pair of skates, the name Gordie Howe is synonymous with the game loved and played by so many across the world. In a career that spanned over five different decades from 1946-71 and 1973-80, fans and players alike will still find Howe’s name near the top of the all-time leaderboards all these years later. Inducted into the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972, offered here is this quartet of cards autographed by Howe that hail from the 2005-06 and 2006-07 Upper Deck Artifacts releases. All displaying with imagery of Howe during his days in the National Hockey League as a member of the Detroit Red Wings, three (3) of the cards come from the 2005-06 Artifacts release in the form of "Auto-Facts" offerings that include the "Copper" ("31/75"), "Silver" ("25/50") and "Pewter" ("07/10") parallels while the 2006-07 Artifacts specimen, also from the "Auto-Facts" autograph subset is an non-serial numbered variation. With each having been signed by Howe over the front with his instantly recognizable signature in crisp blue marker ink, all the signatures display without issue and those on the three (3) 2005-06 cards are accented further with Howe's famed "Mr. Hockey" annotation in matching ink and condition. All found in their raw ungraded form, all four (4) cards remain in excellent condition with just light corner and edge wear being observed throughout the group.
