Far from living up to the actual exploits of The Babe, and seen as one of the worst movies Hollywood ever produced, The Babe Ruth Story starred William Bendix as the loveable slugger, with this quite fitting as Bendix actually served as a batboy to Ruth and the Yankees during the 1920s. Offered here, we present this three sheet sized movie from the 1948 motion picture titled "The Babe Ruth Story". Measuring out a whopping 41" x 80" and affixed on a lightweight backing board that brings the full dimensions up to roughly 41 1/2" x 80 1/2", a number of small vignettes encompass the text, with the cast listed along the base. Additionally, "48/1304" is seen stamped over the bottom right corner. Remaining in overall good condition considering its age and the material, condition issues include creases, pinholes, toning, discolouration, tape marks, edge tears and separations along fold lines while stains are also observed, seen heaviest along the right and bottom borders in the form of a water stain. Of note, it is also worthy of mention that the poster has been glued to a backboard in different areas. Overall an admirable piece worthy of your collection.
Of note, due to the size of the piece it must be picked up and will not be shipped
