Designed to test the balancing skills of any would-be baseball fan, and rewarded with a 1 cent bubble gum, we offer a circa-1950s Trade-O-Matic "Hi-Score" baseball skill-testing vending machine manufactured in Toronto. Designed like a mini-pinball machine, with a flat playing surface and backdrop, the customer would insert a Canadian penny which would release a single bubblegum ball to be "balanced" across the platform before falling into a designated spot, with "Home Run" being the most desirable. The machine is in perfect working order with the original placard intact along with dozens of bubble gums and the original keys. There is wear to the decals and red paint - mostly along edges, but the machine displays wonderfully overall.
