John Mitchell is a versatile forward who offered a little of everything: scoring, checking, shot-blocking, penalty-killing and an ability to play multiple positions! Drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fifth round, 158th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Mitchell made his debut with the team for the 2008-2009 season wearing number 39. He played a total of 566 games in the NHL before opting to embark on a European career. He concluded his professional playing career after 14 seasons.
Offered here is an official Toronto Maple Leafs game-worn white vintage third jersey, worn by Mitchell while playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2010-11 National Hockey League regular season. This jersey is in excellent condition with no distinguishable marks, featuring a single size “58” label affixed to the inner collar, crests for the NHL and Reebok are found over the front and back necklines respectively as well as a Leafs team tagging patch numbered A-0114 sewn inside the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with the famed Maple Leafs crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, the sleeves and verso of the jersey have been accented with Mitchell’s number “39” in blue twill numerals with “Mitchell” in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. It is accompanied by a matching numbered COA signed by Brian Burke, President and General Manager as well as by Brian Papineau, Equipment manager.
