Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
The longest serving captain in Motown hockey history, Steve Yzerman actually holds the record throughout North American sport, as no one has ever worn the uppercase ''C'' longer than Stevie Y. Having brought three Stanley Cup Championships to Detroit, we offer this Easton Air Detroit Red Wings pants worn by Yzerman in the early-to-mid-2000s. In Red Wings red with the team logo embroidered into the right thigh with the NHL found on the reverse in similar style, the left thigh has the Easton Air logo embroidered as well. Void of any tagging, “19” is handwritten in black marker on the inside reverse and the inside front of the pants, with the waistband also still present. Displaying wear on the lighter side, a handful of black stick marks are found over the upper right leg with similar marks also seen over the reverse. Adding to their appeal, a trio of Red Wings alumni have signed the piece including Gordie Howe, Red Berenson and Joey Kocur with black ink signatures that all display without issue. A Hockeytown Authentics COA will accompany the item.
