Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
Accomplished as a player before making his NHL debut as a two-time Memorial Cup finalist with additional time in the CHL, Gregg Sheppard spent seven season with the Boston Bruins beginning in 1972, and concluded his career with a quartet of seasons in Pennsylvania with Pittsburgh. From his fourth season in Beantown, we have a stick used by Sheppard team-signed by the 1974-75 Bruins. A Sher-Wood model, “Sheppard” and “19” is stamped to the upper shaft, with the original white ribbed tape pattern to the handle, and no tape to the blade as originally used. Showing light use with wear to the taped handle and marks to the lower shaft, one side of the shaft has been shaved down, with 19 marker signatures added including Sheppard, along with Orr (beautiful example), Bucyk, Espo, O’Reilly, Cherry, Gilbert, Hodge, Marcotte, Hynes, Forbes, Smith, Schmautz, Vadnais, Doak, Edestrand, Sims, McKechnie, and Ross Brooks. A COA will accompany.
