Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

A Colorado Avalanche selection in 1998, Alex Tanguay spent parts of 16 seasons in the NHL, and was known for his exceptional playmaking and passing. From his lone season in Quebec, we have a photo-matched Montreal Canadiens jersey worn by Tanguay during the Habs centennial season of 2008-09. A CCM label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests to the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the most famous and recognizable team crest in hockey, the V-neck sweater features lucky number “13” sewn to the sleeves and verso, with the “100 seasons” patch over the right shoulder and All-Star Game crest over the left. Exhibiting light game-use with a few marks visible including across the team crest, Getty Image #83365758 (Oct 11, 2008) has been matched to marks over the team crest, with the extended blue threads at the bottom left of the team crest and within the center of the "H" of the "CH" logo also visible. The image is also matched to the dark mark on the white band on the right sleeve. The team patch resides on the inside hem, with a matching LOA from the Canadiens to accompany.
