Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/21/2022
The Montreal Canadiens would embark upon the ultimate NHL dynasty after finishing in first place at the conclusion of the 1955-56 season. Led by Jean Beliveau’s 88 points, the Habs would easily slip past the Rangers before defeating Gordie Howe and the Detroit Red Wings in the Stanley Cup final. We offer a menu team-signed by the 1955-56 Stanley Cup-champion Montreal Canadiens. A fold-over Grand Central Terminal Art Galleries cardstock menu at 6” x 9” (folded), 22 have signed one page of the interior in matching ballpoint, including deceased HOFers Plante, Harvey, Beliveau, Moore, Bouchard (last season 1955-56), Blake, Johnson, Olmstead, Geoffrion and the Richard brothers, along with Mosdell, Turner (first season 1955-56), Marshall, Curry, Talbot, Beauchamp (journalist) and a few others. The signatures display well despite being placed over text, with toning and a large vertical crease to the program.
