After finishing third in the East Division with 108 points during the regular season, the Montreal Canadiens met up with the New York Rangers during the 1972 Quarter-Finals with the Rangers besting the Habs 4-2 to win the series in 6 games. Despite the outcome, Guy Lafleur would score his first career playoff goal during game two in a 5-2 Montreal loss to foreshadow things to come for Canadiens fans. The goal was scored at 6:05 of the first period with the assist going to Frank Mahovlich. Presented here is a ticket stub from the milestone game, having been freshly graded by PSA. Deemed worthy of a FR 1.5, the stub is the highest graded by the company. Listing seat information and the original price of $8.00, the stub lists “1972 Stanley Cup Play-Off” while exhibiting creasing throughout with toning around the edges and fading to the green coloured stub also present. The PSA holder presents in perfect condition with no flaws to mention.
