Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
Aggressively capturing first place overall at the conclusion of the 1983-84 NHL season while suffering only 18 loses, the Edmonton Oilers were led by The Great One’s ridiculous 205 points. Dispatching of Vancouver, Calgary and Minnesota in the postseason, the Oilers would meet and defeat the Islanders in the Stanley Cup final for the franchise’s first championship. Celebrating the 1984 Stanley Cup-champion Oilers, we have a limited-edition canvas team-signed by the club. Originating from the 30th anniversary of the victory, this canvas was signed at the reunion party in the spring of 2015. At 20” x 24” and numbered “#5 of 8”, the stretched canvas features a team photo above, with 33 signatures placed beneath, including Gretzky, Messier, Coffey, Kurri, Fuhr, Anderson, Moog, Lowe, Semenko, Huddy, Sather, Pocklington and many others, with the blue marker signatures displaying beautifully. There is a bit of wear to the canvas, with a hologram from the Oilers attached to the reverse, with a team LOA to accompany.
