A perennial two-way player, it goes without saying that Auston Matthews is going to be a superstar in the National Hockey League for years to come. Hailing from the same season as his first Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy are these CCM JetSpeed FT4 Pro skates worn for a portion of the 2020-21 season. Measuring out to a size 10.5, the sleek black carbon boots feature custom “AM34” graphics around the back heel and exhibit light game wear including some scuffs and abrasions to the graphics and carbon fibre. The blades, made by Step Steel, remain in good condition with some surface rust to the back of the right blade and to the front of the left blade. Both blades feature “Matthews #34” personalization on the outside and are protected by Maple Leafs skate guards. The runners have stickers featuring the Leafs logo and Matthews’ number “34” affixed to them. The skates have been photo-matched to Getty Images #1230846455 (January 28, 2021 vs Edmonton) to the mark under the “4” of Matthews’ graphic on the left skate and with Getty Images #1230882348 (January 30, 2021 vs Edmonton) to a horizontal mark on the back of the left heel. Additionally, the lot also includes a dressing room mat that was used by various members of the Leafs while on the road between 2016-17 and 2019-20. The mat remains in excellent condition showcasing only light wear and two small stains. Both items are accompanied by LOA’s from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
