Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

Topps’ different color scheme (compared to O-Pee-Chee’s) in its 1973-74 issue has made for a fun set for collectors to pursue, with this ensemble featuring some rather sharp EX-MT to NM-or-better cards, along with multiple condition exceptions. As you can see, poor centering affects some of the key cards, with Ken Dryden’s example otherwise EX-MT and that of Bobby Orr miscut and with a light subtle back crease. A more obvious crease hampers Billy Smith’s RC (VG), while a dozen similar side-to-side creases are observed when perusing the cards, held in 9-pocket pages, with the Esposito brothers and 70-Perreault among them. A small crease affects Bill Barber’s RC (VG+), while Dave Schultz (EX-MT+) and Gilles Gilbert (EX-MT (OC)) also contribute to the rookie card lineup. The checklist is unmarked but like with the Orr, a light bend has left a light subtle back crease. A chance to cross one off of your set list is to consider.
