Challenging and popular is Topps’ 1967-68 hockey card set, with this assembly not up there condition-wise but featuring numerous always-interesting elements. Best of the three Orr contributors is Bobby’s 128-All-Star card at VG, with the other two G, his #92 regular issue affected by two creases to the left of his head and an often-seen 1-1/2” factory-produced vertical wrinkle running through his ear. Two Gordie Howe cards are among the nicer entries, with #43 at EX and 131-All-Star a tad lower (VG-EX+). Two Bobby Hull cards are VG, with staining/toning on the front of #113, while 75-Rogie Vachon leads the key RCs at VG. Rookie cards of Derek Sanderson (multi-creased G) and Jacques Lemaire (warped with writing on the back – otherwise EX) have issues as do three dozen sub-VG examples, but we count some 70 cards in the VG to EX range, with a majority of them VG-EX-or-better and some EX+ and EX-MTs to discover. Most notable among the lesser lights are 16-Horton, 99-Cheevers and three different featuring Mikita. Both checklists are marked but are respectable with light creasing. In various conditions, ’67-68s are always fun to check out. The three cards not present are 2-Duff, 68-Rousseau and 85-Giacomin.
