Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/1/2022
Hockey’s greatest left winger in the eyes of many/most hockey observers/historians stars in this alluring encapsulated ensemble, with the seven cards bringing to mind the number “7” that Bobby Hull wore before switching to number “9”. This all-Topps array features PSA NM 7 examples from 1960-61, ’64-65, 65-66 and ’70-71, while a ’63-64 entry received a mark of 7.5 NM+ from KSA. Making it to NM-MT 8 in the eyes of PSA are The Golden Jet’s issues from ’69-70 and ’79-80. “Golden Jet Hull is constant threat to break 50-goal barrier” describes Bobby on the back of one of the cards, with the 10-time NHL First All-Star Team member potting 610 regular season goals, before lighting the lamp 303 times in the WHA – that’s more than 900! professional goals. Several options/opportunities are to consider here, with the holders of the 1960s cards all displaying obvious scratches and/or scuffs and a half-inch chip (lower left edge) spotted in the lone KSA holder.
