Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
With their backs against the wall in the Canada-Russia series in the summer of 1972, Team Canada secured three consecutive game-winning goals in Moscow from Paul Henderson, including his famous series winner with 34 seconds remaining in Game 8. Originally obtained from a member of the Team Canada’s equipment staff, we offer series hero Henderson’s 1972 Canada-Russia Series CCM Custom Pro game-used stick. A CCM Custom Pro model with “Henderson” handwritten in black marker below his well-worn original white spiral tape job on the upper shaft, which has been shaved down on the sides. Residue of Henderson’s removed original tape job is visible on the blade, which is lightly worn on the bottom edge from off-ice use after the fact and had non-stick tape added later. Game wear is light and includes black marks to the lower shaft.
