Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Beginning the season as two-time defending Stanley Cup champions, the Detroit Red Wings finished first in the Central Division in 1998-99, with captain Stevie Y leading the club in points. Meeting and sweeping the Anaheim Ducks in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, the Red Wings would then be defeated by arch-rival Colorado. This framed Detroit jersey has been team-signed by the 1998-99 Red Wings on Kozlov night. A Nike Vyacheslav Kozlov model with “44” sizing along with a tackle twill team crest and “13”, approx 27 have signed the front in matching black marker, including Kozlov, Yzerman, Fedorov, Larionov, Clark (only played in 22 regular-season/playoff games for Detroit), Chelios, Lidstrom, Kocur, Maltby, Draper, Hodson, Ward, Lapointe, Osgood, Maracle, Roest, Gilchrist, Dandenault, Golubovsky, Holmstrom, McCarty, Gill, Macoun and a few others. The signatures present beautifully, with the jersey framed to full dimensions of roughly 35” x 39”. A title sticker was added to the base of the frame, and please note that due to the size and/or weight, special shipping arrangements may be required.
