Backstopping the Washington Capitals to the franchise’s first Stanley Cup Championship during the 2017-18 season, Braden Holtby registered all sixteen of the Capitals playoff wins during the 2018 playoffs with a goals against average of 2.16 and a save percentage of .922 just for good measure and making it hard for opponents to have a legitimate shot at victory. Presented here from that very era is a CCM Premier II stick used by Holtby, with this specific type of model seeing action in 2017-18 and 2018-19. Presenting beautifully, the stick remains fully intact with no breaks or cracking present. A simple and elegant white and blue colourway, the original tape job done by Holtby to the blade, paddle, and knob is still present with some of the red grip tape on the knob having been worn through from post contact. Exhibiting great game-use, the stick does have puck marks throughout, some goal post paint transfer on the back of the shaft and knob tape as well as the edge of the paddle on the front side. A small chip is found on the bottom front side of the paddle between the two "C’s" in “CCM”. Factory serial number and barcode stickers are affixed to the backside of the shaft. Furthermore, Getty Image #969619598 shows Holtby during Game 5 of the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals against the Vegas Golden Knights using the same model and style of stick.
