Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/2/2022
The man who would that season break Ty Cobb’s all-time hits record, Pete Rose, was fittingly featured on the top of Fleer baseball wax boxes in 1985, with an image of the 660-card set’s most important rookie card, that of Kirby Puckett, interestingly among the cards included on the side panels. That roster also includes Tony Gwynn, Ryne Sandberg and Fred Lynn, while Roger Clemens’ RC over the years has always been a key element of the issue. High grade pack pulls are possible if pack-busting is your preference upon taking possession, with all (36) 15-card packs recently deemed unopened by the experts at BBCE, with the firm’s shrink wrap having sealed things up. Very well-preserved box has a couple of light creases in the lid and a few specks of color loss on the front and back panels, with almost standard wear (in this case, light) to the corners/edges of the box bottom. Lots of fun options are in store for you.
