For your unopened wax box collection or to have some possibly exhilarating pack-opening experiences comes this four-decade-old gridiron tempter, with yes, the thought and discovery of a minty Joe Montana rookie card cool indeed. Montana got his “Joe Cool” nickname from staying calm during key moments of his illustrious Hall of Fame career and his “Comeback Kid” moniker for his history of rallying the 49ers from late-game deficits. Joining the QB amid Topps’ 1981 (528-card) set are fellow legends Walter Payton, Terry Bradshaw and Tony Dorsett, while the rookie card roster is led by Art Monk, Kellen Winslow and Dwight Clark. Thirty-six packs are inside the box, with 15 cards per pack. The contents, before being surrounded by Baseball Card Exchange’s shrink wrap, were examined and deemed unopened by the company, with the firm’s label and certification number affixed on the underside. We spot some minor red color loss on the box top, as well as on the back and side panels, with not-drastic pressure bends/creases (right and back panels, bottom) also to note. One dinged box bottom corner and “28” in black marker added to the top of the box are also to be aware of. We surmise you’ll be pleased after securing the cool! brick.
