Making his NHL debut for Edmonton during the 1987 Stanley Cup finals, Kelly Buchberger spent the majority of his career with the Oilers and captained the club for four seasons. This photo-matched Oilers jersey was worn by the Langenburg native during the 1990-91 Stanley Cup playoffs. A Maska label with faint handwritten “54” sizing is affixed to the collar, with “90/91 3” for the year and “Set 3” handwritten beneath, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with a layered Oilers tackle twill team crest, “16” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Buchberger” across the nameplate in royal blue twill. There is also a “Loonie” and lace fight strap added beneath the original dual-clasp fight strap. Exhibiting heavy wear throughout including puck and stick marks, scrapes, pulls and burns, there are a few holes to the right elbow, with a large slit to the lower left sleeve. An included numeric image has been matched to the long unrepaired slit on the lower left sleeve. A team LOA will accompany, along with a COR from MeiGray, with the pair laminated.
