Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

One of the hobby's most important and desirable rookie cards of the modern era pictures a young Michael Jordan about to slam one down, with an example of famous card #57 from Fleer's 1986-87 issue offered here in NM 7 form. Cards like this were first pulled from packs during Michael's third pro season, one that would see the '84-85 NBA Rookie of the Year claim his first of 10 scoring titles. The first of 14! MVP awards came in '87-88 and the superstar would go on to pace his Chicago Bulls to six playoff championships, (being named MVP of the Finals all six times), propelling his rookie card to forever-in-demand, iconic status. A little white, visible at the tip of the top right corner and an almost-microscopic white speck on the bottom edge where it meets the bottom right corner appear to be the grade-lowering flaws here, with appealing centering among the card's attributes. Assessed some years ago by PSA, the card is held in a holder that exhibits light but not drastic scratches. You are going to be thrilled when holding and beholding the special collectible when it arrives!
