Intriguing looks at NHL uniforms of the day, (Canadiens, Maroons, Toronto St. Pats, Hamilton Tigers), along with that of the Stanley Cup are offered by these little cards, issued one-a-pack in Champ's Cigarettes, the latter produced by a Hamilton, Ontario company. Best condition-wise at EX are cards of Charles Dinsmore (RC) and Hall of Famer Bert Corbeau, with that of the latter appearing to have some bluish ink on the front. Also crease-free are VG+ examples of Gerald Munro (RC) and goaltender John Ross Roach, with goalie Vernon "Jake" Forbes at VG. Displaying some EX characteristics (corners) but with minor back damage from having been affixed are cards of Billy Boucher (creased) and Ganton Scott (RC), with three low grade (F) entries being Odie Cleghorn (multiple creases), Sylvio Mantha (rounded corners, stains) and Robert McKinnon. Meanwhile, multiple creases affect the card picturing the Stanley Cup (P) but it's one that does not often surface. Back in the day, it could substitute for cards that were not able to be produced in time for inclusion, with mailed-in complete team sets allowing consumers a chance at cash prizes. A chance to score 11 scarcities from the 60-card set in one swoop will surely pique the interest of pre-war collectors.
