Facing the greatest all-time in a one-on-one battle was surely a harrowing experience for any seasoned netminder. Occurring just once during the Stanley Cup playoffs, with an additional five during the regular-season, Wayne Gretzky took a mere five penalty shots throughout his time with the Edmonton Oilers, and we offer a ticket stub graded PR 1 by PSA that hails from The Great One’s second penalty shot of his career, which took place on Sept 26, 1982, in an 8-3 pre-season victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Featuring the visible date of “Sunday Sept 26” and “Edmonton vs Toronto”, the small stub produced for a gold $18.00 seat sports an uneven tear, and displays nicely. Gretzky would also score a second goal in the contest, and we should further note that this is the ONLY stub graded from this contest by PSA (no full tickets either).
