Registering three seasons of scoring over 30 goals for the Montreal Canadiens including a career-high 43 in 1985-86, Mats Naslund received this attractive display that features his 40th goal puck from the 1984-85 NHL season (Naslund would conclude the campaign with 42 goals and 37 assists for 79 points). Scored on March 30, 1985 vs the Bruins in Boston on the power play, the marker was the first of two in the contest for Naslund, with the game won by the Habs, 7-3. At 10” x 15”, the finished wooden plaque with beveled edges sports the puck over the center as well as an affixed and engraved plate with mounted enamel Canadiens crest above, with the text stating “Mats Naslund” and “40th Goal of the 1984-85 Season”, with the date and time listed along with those assisting (Bobby Smith and Tom Kurvers), and the victim (Pete Peeters). At the bottom, “Special thanks to Mario and Pierre” is listed in script, with these presumably his linemates (Pierre Mondou and Mario Tremblay). Naslund has signed the reverse, with light wear to both the puck and plaque (a COA for the signature will accompany).
