Utterly shocking the hockey world, the announcement that Wayne Gretzky was traded from the Edmonton Oilers to the Los Angeles Kings in 1988 thrilled the state of California while stunning our entire nation. The Great One would spend eight seasons in Tinseltown, helping to popularize hockey in the US. This solid black framed Kings jersey signed by The Great One is the same style worn by Gretzky while becoming the NHL all-time points leader in 1989-90. Featuring Wayne’s iconic “99” with the jersey mounted with the reverse showing, “Gretzky” is sewn to the upper reverse in single white twill, with the legend signing over the first “9” in black marker, with some bleeding into the material occurring. A hologram from WGA has been affixed beneath, with the jersey framed to full dimensions of approx 34” x 43”. A WGA COA will accompany, and please note that due to the size and/or weight, special shipping arrangements may be required.
