Only the second American ever honoured with the captaincy of the hollowed Montreal Canadiens, Brian Gionta would spend 5 seasons with the club, scoring the franchise’s 20,000th team goal in 2013. We have a pair of 2010-11 Habs sweaters, with a game-worn home jersey, along with an away example that was issued to the Rochester native. Each jersey features size tagging along the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the most famous and recognizable team crest in hockey, both V-neck sweaters have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Gionta” across the nameplate of each in single twill. Game-issued and never worn, the away example remains in gorgeous condition, while the home jersey exhibits a few board burns over the right sleeve along with a faint mark over the team crest. Team patches numbered “A02192” (Home) and “A02196” (Away) sit on the inside hems, while holograms affixed to the reverse numbers of each match the accompanying LOAs from the Canadiens.
