Two of the most famous names in hockey equipment feature in this lot. First, we offer a circa-1920s skate box from the original CCM company. This box would have held a pair of Ladies' Automobile Skates (so named for the use of steel normally associated with automobile production). The box shows signs of light to moderate wear, with all aprons intact and some areas of paper loss to the lid. Next, we offer a pair of Starr skates. Dartmouth's Starr Manufacturing Company revolutionized skating with their invention of the spring lock skate system, allowing anyone to simply attach a skate blade to their boot. These blades are Regal models and they date to the early 1900s to 1910s, with the name stamped on each along with the Starr logo and "Featherweight". Manufactured in Halifax, Nova Scotia, they remain in excellent condition with minor surface wear.
