A 1986-87 O-Pee-Chee set minus the two checklists leads this batch, with Patrick Roy's important (crease-free) rookie card exhibiting wear at the four corners and just shy of EX, at VG-EX+. Light dings and corner touches are observed with a majority of the rest - you can anticipate a small percentage of NM-or-better examples, with the second-year Mario Lemieux card miscut and with an ink mark on the reverse. An '87-88 set is complete and is similar condition-wise, with Luc Robitaille (EX+) and Adam Oates (EX) rookies most notable and joined by several others, along with a second-year Roy (NM). Cards of Lemieux, Gretzky (big crease) and Ranford (RC)(two creases) are notable lower grade exceptions. Condition improves in two near sets from '88-89, with however again intermittent flaws denying us the opportunity to say "high grade." One Brett Hull rookie card exhibits warping and is otherwise EX-MT while the other is NM-MT but is suspect, lacking the yellow dot on the push-pin on the front, although the printing on the back of both is the same. Brendan Shanahan RCs are NM and EX+, while one of the #1-Mario Lemieux cards is creased. For some reason #44-Makela RC is missing from both stacks, with a (#198) checklist also required for completion. Several options await the new owner.
