Beginning his NHL career with Boston in 1961-62 after time in the AHL and EPHL, Pat Stapleton skated for the Bruins for a pair of seasons before additional time in the WHL, and made his Windy City debut for the Chicago Black Hawks in 1965-66. From his first season with the Black Hawks, we have a team-signed stick issued to Stapleton that originates from his personal collection. A Northland Pro model with “Stapleton” stamped to the upper shaft, stamps also appears on each side from team supplier Gunzo’s, with the original striping accents slightly worn but intact over the lower shaft. Approx 19 have signed one side of the shaft in matching black marker including Stapleton, along with HOFers Hall, Hull, Pilote, Esposito and Mikita, as well as Mohns, Nesterenko, Jarrett, Hodge, Ravlich, Angotti, Vasko, Dryden and a few others. A few of the signatures along the top and bottom of the shaft show fading, while a couple also show bleeding from water staining including the Mikita and Stapleton. An LOA from the Stapleton family will accompany.
