Scoring over 130 points for the Portland Buckaroos in just two seasons with the WHL club including 29 goals in 1964-65, Pat Stapleton also earned the Hal Laycoe Cup that campaign as the league’s top defenceman. From his time with the Buckaroos and originating from his personal collection, we have a stick used by Stapleton. A Northland Pro model with “5 Stapleton” stamped to the upper shaft, with both also handwritten, the original black tape remains on the blade and white beehive pattern over the knob. Nice game-use is shown with wear and marks to the blade, shaft and over the taped section of knob, with some chipping/cracking at the top side of the heel. Despite this, the stick remains completely solid. An LOA from the Stapleton family will accompany.
