Representing Switzerland at every international level, goaltender David Aebischer was drafted by Colorado in 1997 and guarded the creases of three NHL clubs throughout his career, with additional time in the NLA. From his only full season with the Habs, we have a photo-matched Montreal Canadiens jersey worn by Aebischer in 2006-07. “Goalie Style” labeling with a sewn-down “58” size tag is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the back hem and reverse neckline respectively. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, the white V-neck has been accented with “30” sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Aebischer” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Sporting heavy game-use with numerous puck and stick marks over the front and sleeves, there is also some red paint transfer near each elbow, with a material-backed team repair situated near the team crest. Getty Image #73330970 (Feb 14, 2007) has been matched to the dark marks over the right front and near the team crest, while Getty Image #73033726 (Jan 11, 2007) has been matched to the faint washed out marks on the front right side of the jersey, with the hole to the left of the team crest also visible (this is now repaired). A patch from MeiGray resides on the inside hem, and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “White Set 2” specimen. An LOA from the Canadiens will accompany.
