Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

Numerous condition issues and different grades are to tell you about here in this pieced-together-looking batch of 1954-55 Parkhurst cards, with the #1 card of Gerry McNeil the one needed to complete the set. Johnny Bower and Fred Sasakamoose rookie cards are among 18 with varying degrees of back damage; just light clear glue remnants in the case of the otherwise VG Bower RC, with 14-Harvey, 29-Kennedy, 57-Mohns RC and a couple of action cards among the others. A light tape stain affects the fronts (part of the top edge) of 3-Beliveau and All-Stars 31-Horton, 33-Sawchuk, 41-Howe (two light creases, wax stains) and 46-Lindsay. Other than Beliveau (heavy crease that breaks the cardboard), they display as otherwise VG or VG+, with a pinhole through 16-Lumley. Only a couple of creases and rounded corners with 7-Maurice Richard (G), with 8-Geoffrion at G+. Among the rest, 13 have Lucky Premium Card backs, while numerous crease-free VG to VG-EX representatives (a few better) are to discover. A half-dozen measure markedly short (trimmed) while some others are narrow and suspect - it's often buyer beware with Parkies of the era. Overall lower grade gathering will likely still yield some pleasant surprises.
