A treat to peruse and describe for you is this gathering of ever-popular 1968-69 O-Pee-Chee cards - the nicest we recall handling - with gorgeous NM-or-better examples accounting for the majority. Some may be "only" in the EX to EX-MT+ range but then again others are NM-MT-or-better and feature impressive smooth, smooth edges, sharp corners and original gloss - these look like they've been handled minimally over the years and include numerous grading candidates - you'll enjoy zeroing-in on the MINT representatives. We spot but a minuscule left edge nick in Bobby Orr's (#214) Norris Trophy card, with Bobby Hull's similarly well-centered 204-All-Star card another attention-grabber among the key/star cards. Unfortunately the #2-Orr card has two small light creases (barely detectable from the front) and three light corner dings summing up to a VG+ assessment, while 200-Orr All-Star is miscut on the back and EX. You can anticipate notorious diamond cuts (more are present in the 1st Series) and roughly 20 cards with original (removable) wax stains on the front, including Bernie Parent RC (EX+ (OC), 34-Sawchuk (EX-MT (MK)), 181-Plante (NM), 164-Vachon (EX+) and 29-Howe, with Gordie's card also one of a dozen with a production-caused surface wrinkle and joined by 216-Provost Masterton. Checklists are unmarked with a light side-to-side back crease affecting 121-1st Series (VG+), while 61-2nd Series is EX-MT. Other than the aforementioned, we detect only seven cards with a crease; 176-Gary Smith RC and six commons. Multiple possibilities, opportunities and decisions await you after securing this terrific ensemble.
