Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
More luscious and inviting unopened material to pique the interest of fans of high-end hockey cards is on the auction block here with Upper Deck’s tantalizing “The Cup” product represented by a case from 2019-20. Yes, Cale Makar, Nick Suzuki and Quinn and Jack Hughes are already showing why they deserve to be in the title here, with however the rookie cards of numerous other young budding stars possibly making the hot list in future seasons. Having fine seasons in 2020-21 were Adam Fox, Joel Farabee and Carter Verhaeghe, while dozens of others will continue to strive to make their mark on the hockey world in coming years. The case consists of six boxes, with one six-card tin/pack in each. On average, two autographed patch cards are reported in each tin/pack. Joining the official rookie cards as possible pack pulls is a remarkable mind-boggling array of beautiful productions – “The Cup” fanatics know what we’re talking about – we won’t get into the lengthy list. As for this particular case, when it was shipped to us, DHL (specialists in international shipping) deemed it necessary to open the box and check its contents. Photos are available upon request of the box after it was re-sealed with DHL tape. Classic Auctions staff then carefully opened the box to verify/confirm the contents and then proceeded to remove all of the DHL tape. This was recorded on film and is also available upon request. The highest of high stakes when it comes to pack-busting is what The Cup has always offered, with this offering sure to excite its new owner.
