The 37th edition of the event, the 2013 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships took place in Russia, with 10 nations competing. The final featured the US beating Sweden, 3-1. This Team USA jersey was worn at the tournament by Alex Galchenyuk, with the US wearing this specific set of white jerseys in four games including Dec 27, 2012 vs Germany, December 28, 2012 vs Canada, December 30, 2012 vs Russia and January 2, 2013 vs Czech Republic (Quarterfinal Round), with Galchenyuk seeing action in all four games. Screened-on “56” sizing with an IIHF label sit along the collar, with an embroidered IIHF patch over the back bottom hem. Styled with a tackle twill USA team crest with embroidered highlights, the solid white polyester garment has been adorned with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers in layered tackle twill, with “Galchenyuk” heat-pressed to the nameplate in navy vinyl. Sporting light wear with a few faint marks visible, there is also a bit of red paint transfer beneath the team crest. A MeiGray/USA Hockey label numbered “USA02200” is sewn to the inside hem near a screened Nike bar code, with a matching LOA from USA Hockey to accompany.
