Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

One of only 29 players in history to join the prestigious Triple Gold Club, Henrik Zetterberg spent his entire career in Motor City, hoisting Lord Stanley’s hardware in 2008 while also earning the coveted Conn Smythe Trophy. Zetterberg would make back-to-back appearances at the All-Star Game, in 2007 and 2008. This photo-matched Red Wings jersey was worn by the skilled Swede in 2008-09, where he scored 73 points in 77 games. A CCM label with “54” sizing is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic winged-wheel team crest with embroidered detailing, the V-neck sweater has been accented with “40” over the sleeves and verso in single twill, with “Zetterberg” arching across the upper reverse in individual red twill letters. The team patch denoting the garment as a “1st Set” specimen resides on the inside hem, with a COA from the Red Wings to accompany.
Sporting just light use with a few faint stick marks over the front and reverse, Getty Image #83984649 (Dec 6, 2008) has been matched to the big black mark on the right side hem, and to the black mark to the left of the team crest.
