Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Guys (and gals) of a certain age who were opening packs like this back in the day will today be marveling at this luscious sight and fantasizing about going back in time - what a time it was! Bobby Orr was having a mind-blowing season in 1969-70 and became the first defenceman to win the scoring title - imagine! Card enthusiasts can imagine a Tony Esposito rookie card or Gordie Howe's Mr. Hockey card inside this pack, with All-Star cards (Orr, Howe, Hull, Beliveau, Horton++), trophy winner cards (Orr, Espo, Plante/Hall, etc.) and various cards of the NHL's silverware also involved in O-Pee-Chee's (99-card) 2nd Series. Popular and rather difficult today in high grade are the inserts; a 4-in-1 mini card insert and one of 12 team albums joined eight cards and a stick of gum and cost 10 cents. GAI has inspected the pack and awarded it a mark of NM+ 7.5. We spot a little split in the wrapper, at the bottom right corner, with the card of a Red Wings player in a head-and-shoulders shot (like Libett RC or Unger or Ravlich or Popiel) showing through the bottom, with no obvious scratches/flaws to the GAI holder. In a word, awesome!
