One of the modern game’s most prolific goal scorers, Marcel Dionne would top the 100-point total eight times throughout his HOF career, and score more than 130 points three times. From a campaign that witnessed the Little Beaver net 94 points in 80 contests, we have a signed Los Angeles Kings alternate captain’s jersey worn by Dionne in 1985-86, his second-last season in California. A Maska Ultrafil label with handwritten “48” sizing remains affixed to the collar, with an embroidered CCM crest with asterisk on the reverse hem. Styled with the classic original multi-coloured Kings team crest with embroidered detailing, the royal purple V-neck has “16” in layered tackle twill sewn to the sleeves and verso, with “Dionne” across the affixed nameplate in single gold twill. Dionne has signed over the front band, with the black marker signature displaying beautifully. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
It should be noted that while most of the jerseys the Kings wore in 1985-86 had Adidas logos over the hem (this jersey has CCM), has been documented that Dionne wore multiple jerseys including examples without the Adidas logo. Game-use includes a few puck and stick marks over the front and reverse, with a couple small stains on the lower reverse.
