Selected in both the NHL and WHA drafts of 1975, Paul Woods spent two seasons in the AHL with Nova Scotia before seven full seasons with Detroit. This rarely seen and highly desirable single-season only style Red Wings jersey with unique cursive numerals was worn by the Hespeler native in 1982-83. Measuring-out to a size 48 and with Maska and Eastside labels affixed along the collar, a Maska crest appears embroidered on the reverse hem. Styled with the classic winged-wheel team crest with embroidered detailing, “15” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in single twill, with the garter-style fight strap intact. Exhibiting nice game-use with wear to the material throughout which includes scrapes, marks and pilling, there are also a few small holes/slits near the cuffs, with a team repair directly beneath the team crest.
